Hotel La Chaumine is our base camp for the La Grave Steep Camp.   Situated just above La Grave on the south slope, it faces directly onto the north face of the majestic glaciated peak of La Meije and all the skiing we will be doing during the camp.  The prestigious Michelin Guide of France ranked the view as 3 stars, the highest possible rating.  The view cannot be beat!

La Chaumine has a very cozy chalet feel.  Joost and Karin, who run the hotel, are close friends.  They are very warm, kind people who love the mountains and love sharing their hotel with you.  Dinners are home cooked, multi-course French meals.  There is also an international night to mix it up.  The beautiful breakfast is served buffet style so that you can eat at your leisure before skiing.
